framework and into the very same sentimental realm as that of the old- testament. The American or European man is inclined to scoff when confronted about their own ‘idols’, but to the easterner, who lives his life in either a wrestling dichotomy between shame & honor, or perhaps even in one of fear & power, (which is the balance of the tribal mind), idols are those which their honor lives vicariously through, and-or to which their power and protection are secured through.
