LawnPal
Mowing & Landscaping.

My good friend Austin has been at the helm of LawnPal since March of 2019. He manages everything from the routine workflow, to the bookkeeping and customer payments, to the encouragement and stewardship of his faithful employees. Austin has some fantastic plans for his company—not only to raise the level of professionalism in industry but also the eventual creation of a sleak, seamless, quick and user-friendly mobile app for customers to pay for & schedule their routine mowing or landscaping needs.

My goal with the rebrand was to set LawnPal up for success in these future endeavors with a design scheme that would communicate professionalism and proficiency on that shiny web app. One day.

The question of a rebrand was risen when Austin asked me to create some decals for his work pickup. I had created vehicle graphics for Salty Dog (a hot-shot driver), Revert Auto Detailing, and Brice’s Mobile Detailing. When asked to take up one of these projects, I like to delight my client with a visual schematic that demonstrates the contours of the work vehicle and has the communication decals in place.

LawnPal has been sported by a Mascot for a good while now—it was Austin’s idea since he begun planning the company in high school. I created a mascot with him about a year before this rebrand process kicked off, but it wasn’t completed by a complimentary design system, so that guy felt out of place.

So, I considered it was a good time to go ahead and revamp the brand when he asked me about the truck graphics. I recommended that with the truck, the mascot, his brand system, and any future content creation and advertising he’d do (not to mention the dream of a shiny web app), that he should have a brand guide book printed and at his disposal. It would demonstrate how to use all of the assets in harmony.

This case study presents all of the final work-product through the brand Master Guide that was created for LawnPal.
