Logo Design, Visual Identity & Brand Guide

Strategy can often be administered simple, yet strong visual solution.

David Brumley has quite a knack for making! I met him at our young adult small group, and he told us about how he’s spend his off-time crafting immaculate pens—ball-point and fountain, for all sorts of folks. Most of us needed a reminder of what a lathe is, but David uses many other tools for other build projects as well. After agreeing to create 100 of these craft pens for a CEO connection, he decided to play it safe and make a name for his future craft gigs.

Welcome to the case study for Dragonfly Builds—the craft endeavors of David Brumley. I’m very happy to help my friends my designing for their skills & ventures. Here, my job was to provide distinctive visual intrigue for his brand. He needed a version that could be engraved onto his pens. My solution for him was simple mark with punchy colors and a bold, narrow Wordmark. Everything was put together finally in a brand guide, to codify and streamline Dragonfly Builds’ visual identity system.
